Murphy NC-Cherokee Country Relay for Life: This is our first year sponsoring a Relay For Life Team for Cherokee County but everyone is so excited! These current photos show us collecting "Treasures" for our May 14th Yard Sale as well the actual Yard Sale itself. We want to thank everyone who stopped by to donate or "treasure hunt" and made donations to such as important cause. Also many thanks to the Andrews Civitan Club that allowed us to pick up many of the items we featured!!! Our Relay for Life Coldwell Banker High Country Team will be over-nighting in Konaheta Park May 20,2011 in support of our Relay county wide walk so please- STOP BY AND SEE US!!!!
Murphy NC-Konaheta Park....May 20,2011: Our CBHC Team arrived early to make sure we had a great spot to over-nite for the Relay For Life Celebration....We landed a great spot on the river!!! Come join us to Celebrate our Survivors and Remember Those No Longer With Us because of this dreadful disease....
And then the time to Celebrate arrived!!! Murphy Elementary School sang as well as many others...And the Community came out in great numbers (and all shapes and sizes) to support the Relay....

But most of all we remembered...
With the lighting of the 1008 Luminaries-lining the Relay Course honoring survivors and in memory of those who fought this disease so with such faith and courage...
And of course...the morning after.
