Murphy NC_Golf Around the Mountains- If hitting the links is your passion, than playing your way around our Murphy NC area golf courses will be a treat you won't want to miss.  Kaye learned to play golf when she was living on the far shores of Northern Scotland, and she maintains that if you can play a mountain golf course, you can play any where in the world. We are surrounded by beautiful golf venues that are fun and challenging for golfers of any Handicap. Murphy's local Cherokee Hills Golf Course sets on the outskirts of town, only minutes from down town and features a challenging 18 hole, par 72 course in addition to driving range, practise green, tennis courts, pool, and bar and restraunt.  Just 13 minutes south in Blairsville Ga is Butternut Creek Golf Course. Only minutes to the east in Young Harris Ga is Brasstown Valley Resort and Championship Golf Course.  If one heads west of Murphy, on US Hwy 64, just a few hundred feet across the Tennessee/North Carolina state line is Copper Hill TN and Copper Basin Golf Course.  To the east of Murphy, in neighboring Hayesville, NC is the gorgeous Chatuge Shores Golf Course, located on the banks of Lake Chatuge.
